PASTOR DAN HYUN - VILLAGE CHURCH, BaLTIMORE

Pastor Dan was raised in the greater Philadelphia area, receiving degrees in speech communication from Penn State University and the Masters in Divinity & the Doctor of Ministry in Urban Missiology at Biblical Theological Seminary. He is driven for God’s work in the city having served with urban churches in Philadelphia and Baltimore. In 2008, Dan was privileged to lead a team to start The Village Church in Baltimore, MD with dreams of making God famous through a diverse and multicultural expression of the Kingdom of God.

His journey hasn’t been without many painful bumps along the road, but God’s patient grace has been evident the whole way. As God has blessed Dan in so many ways, he desires to invest in others. Dan works with developing urban church planters and regularly shares his thoughts at Lifeway Pastors. Speaking is a passion for Dan as he leads others on issues including leadership, urban ministry, justice, and church planting.

PASTOR GEORGE HOPKINS - GALLERY CHURCH, BALTIMORE

George Hopkins was born and raised in south Baltimore. He attended Poly High School and then Morgan State University as a student-athlete. George got involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) as a football player at Morgan. After earning his degree he worked full-time with FCA in Baltimore City then he served as a pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in Timonium. In 2014 he partnered with twenty people to launch Gallery Church Sowebo—a multi-cultural church actively engaged with the community in Southwest Baltimore. He is currently the Lead Pastor and volunteers with various organizations that help build the city of Baltimore.

PASTOR TALLY WILGIS - CAPTIVATE Christian CHURCH, BALTIMORE Baptist Association

Raised in Baltimore City housing projects, he’s the first in his family tree to graduate high school and is blessed to now hold an undergraduate degree in government and a master’s in religion.

He’s the founding pastor of Captivate Church with locations in Towson, Dundalk, and East Baltimore and founding president of Captivate Global which currently works in East Africa. The Captivate Christian Academy is home to 140 students and 12 full-time staff.

Since 2017 he has served as Executive Director of the Baltimore Baptist Association, a ministry and mission organization seeking the good of the city through the local church. Several times per year, he has the honor to preach on revival and prayer with the Refresh Conferences under the direction of his mentor, Dr. Michael Catt.

Pastor Tally has been married to Kristy for 18 years and they have two children: Caleb (14) and Ainsley (10).

DR. KEVIN SMITH - BAPTIST CONVENTION of MARYLAND/DELAWARE

Dr. Kevin Smith leads the staff of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware. He has experience as a pastor, chaplain, church planter, conference speaker, and short-term missionary. He has studied at Hampton University, the Church of God Theological Seminary, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, subsequently serving on Southern's faculty for a decade. In 2015 he was elected president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Kevin and his wife, Patricia, have three adult children and two great-nephews, Timothy and Josiah. His hobbies include whatever sports his kids are playing and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. His ministry is animated by Jesus' prayer for the unity of His followers in John 17.
