pastor cj matthews

CJ Matthews is the lead pastor of Bethany Church in Columbia, MD.  The church is located in the business district of Columbia and has become a beacon of light in a place that doesn’t know it needs one. He loves watching the Dallas Cowboys, playing basketball, fishing, hunting, but most of all his amazing wife of six years, Katie.  They adopted their one son, Thomas, from Baltimore City two years ago and this has taught them more about what it means to be adopted by God, to be loved unconditionally, and to trust God when life doesn’t make sense.

pastor Jeff belcher

Jeff Belcher is a church planter and Pastor of Church of the Harbor (CoH) in Baltimore, MD. Jeff moved from his hometown of Birmingham, AL to the Northeast 3 years ago with a team of 3 families, and they're working everyday to bring the gospel to their neighbors. CoH works diligently to engage their community on a practical level, and as they've developed meaningful rapport with neighbors, they've seen an increasing openness to the gospel, as is evidenced by over 350 professions of faith and average attendance having almost tripled in the past 18 months. Jeff is also privileged to write for LifeWay to support his work in the city and to impact the thousands of churches that use LifeWay resources. Jeff loves barbecue, the outdoors, and the University of Alabama. He has been married to Kelly for 17 years, and they live in a row-home in Baltimore city with their 6 children and their German Shepherd.
